국문초록기독교의 안식일은 여가적 의미가 크다고 할 수 있는데, 본 연구의 목적은 신구약 성서에 나타난 안식일과 시대에 따른 주일(일요일)로서의 안식일을 통하여 여가적 의미를 음미하고 조명해보는 것이다. 신구약 성서를 비롯한 관련 문헌을 고찰한 결과는 대체로 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다.1. 구약성서에서 하나님의 안식은 인간의 일과 탐욕에 대한 한계를 분명히 함으로써 여가를 강조하고, 인간의 휴식과 여가를 위한 모델을 제공하였다.2. 구약성서에서 계명으로서의 안식은 일과 안식 사이의 리듬, 즉 이 두 가지의 상호 보완을 말하고 있다.3. 신약성서에서 예수는 분주한 가운데서도 기도와 함께 휴식을 취했던 것처럼 제자들에게도 여가의 필요성을 강조했다.4. 구약성서에서의 율법적인 안식일은 예수를 통하여 인간 중심으로 바뀌고 여가적 의의를 제공한다.5. 성서시대 이후 현대에 이르기까지 시대의 변천에 따라 안식일의 개념과 의미가 교의적여가적으로 변하여 왔다.6. 오늘날 대중 여가시대와 함께 안식일 엄수주의가 많이 쇠퇴하였지만 한편으로는 주일성수가 강조되기도 한다.
Abstract
A Study on the Significance of leisure in the Sabbath Kim, Ok Tae(Seowon University) The significance of leisure in the Sabbath is great. The purpose of this paper was to explore the meaning of leisure in the Sabbath of the Holy Bible and in the Lord's day(Sunday) by the times. The results of this study by the Old and the New Testaments and related literatures were summarized as follows: First, God's rest in the Old Testament emphasized the leisure by setting the limit positively to the work and the avarice of human being, and provided us with the model for the rest and leisure of the man. Second, the rest as a commandment of the Old Testament told the rhythm between work and repose, namely, complement of two kinds. Third, Jesus of the New Testament had a good rest with prayer in spite of His tight schedule, and He encouraged His disciples to have their leisure. Fourth, the Sabbath of commandment of the Old Testament was focused on man's life and dignity by jusus, and gave us the meaning of leisure. Fifth, the concept and the meaning of the Sabbath have been changed in the doctrine and leisure with times since the Bible age through the present age. Sixth, today Sabbatarianism was declined greatly with the age of mass leisure, but, on the other hand keeping the Sabbath was emphasized.
