이 논문은 안식일 준수에 대한 신학적 성찰을 시도하는 것이다. 그것은 거룩함과 노동으로부터 쉼이 무엇을 의미하는 지를 이해하는 것이 될 것이다. 창세기에 의하면 하느님은 세계를 창조하셨고, 그리고 마지막 날에는 그 날을 안식일이라 하고 쉬셨다. 그런 다음 하느님은 십계명의 넷째 계명, 즉 “안식일을 기억하고 그리고 거룩하게 지켜라.”(출 20:8)는 계명을 주셨다. 여기서 우리는 하느님이 안식일을 거룩한 날 그리고 쉼의 날로 창조하셨다는 것을 이해할 수 있다. 그 날은 치유의 시간이요, 세계를 창조한 하느님을 명상하는 시간이다. 이러한 안식일의 준수와 쉼과 명상의 믿음을 통하여 우리는 기쁨, 평화, 쉼 그리고 고요함을 얻는다. 또한 안식일의 축복은 단지 인간에게만 국한 되지 않는다. 그것은 모든 피조물들을 포함하는 것이다. 바꾸어 말하면 안식일의 쉼은 주인과 종 그리고 모든 피조물이 함께 누리는 평등의 쉼을 말한다. 사회학자이며 신학자인 크뢰제는 안식일을 해방의 날로 이해하여 안식일의 또 다른 의미를 시사해 주었다. 이러한 안식일의 정신은 안식년(레 25:1-7)과 희년(레 25:8절 이하)으로 이어지면서 인류와 모든 피조물을 위한 안식일의 지평을 넓혀준다.
Abstract
This study attempts to create a theological reflection on keeping the Sabbath. It will make us understand what is the meaning of holiness and rest from labor. According to the Genesis, God created the world and He rested on the last day, blessing it as the Sabbath. Then God commanded in the fourth of the 10 Commandments: "Remember the Sabbath by keeping it holy."(Exodus 20:8) So from this, we can understand that God created the Sabbath as both a holy day and a day of rest, a time to heal and contemplate Him. Through this observance of the Sabbath and through rest and contemplation believers will receive joy, peace, rest and tranquillity. The blessing of the Sabbath is not limited just to man. It should encompass all creatures. In other words, the rest of the Sabbath means the equal rest for all. The socialist, theologian Kroeze understands the Sabbath as a day of liberation from labor. This Understanding about the Sabbath leads us to the way of freedom and liberation in the Sabbath Year (Leviticus 25:1-7) and the Year of Jubilee(Leviticus 25:8ff.)
