문예연감(2001~2007) 분석을 통한 한국 무용계의 화두와 과제

본 연구는 문예연감 분석을 통해 한국 무용계의 연도별 변화 양상을 살피고 그것이 시사하는 화두와 과제를 고찰하고자 하였다. 그 결과 21세기 한국 무용계의 화두와 과제로는 다음의 다섯 가지를 주목할 필요가 있다. 1) 춤 장르 간 크로스오버 경향 극대화에 따라 주제와 관계하는 의미있는 움직임 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 2) 춤과 테크놀로지와의 접목 확대와 관계하여 무용환경 변화에 따른 적절한 예술지원이 필요하다. 3) 공연공간의 확장에 있어 ‘예술성과 대중성의 적절한 조화’라는 모토가 반영되어야 할 것이다. 4) 국제문화교류의 확대와 활성화를 위해 체계적인 중․장기 전략 수립이 절실히 요구된다. 5) 학술연구 활동의 성장세에 편승하여 전문연구 영역의 세분화와 심화된 연구태도가 요구된다.
Abstract
This study is based on the contemporary circumstances of the transformation in the cultural sector to look into the unavoidable issues and challenges the dance world of Korea faces and aimed at presenting possible issues and challenges of dance world of Korea that can result from the current trend by analyzing the Cultural and Artistic Yearbook from 2000 to 2006 and discussing the diversification trend in terms of quality. Ultimately, this study's exploration of dance world of Korea will offer a precious opportunity for soul-searching to those in the field. The study has narrowed down the issues and challenges of future dancing to the following five. First, crossover between dance genres will increasing. - Sensible abstruseness is necessary in creating dancing. Second, the use of media will expand for dancing. - Adequate support for art is needed. Third, more performance facilities are to be built. - Art and populism need to be harmonized. Fourth, international cultural exchanges will increase. - Mid- and long-term strategies are badly needed. Fifth, academic research activities are on the rise. - Specialization is increasing and researchers' scientific attitudes need to be improved.
