본 연구는 검도 관전자가 가지는 미적 체험의 구조를 밝히는데 있다. 검도 관전자의 미적 체험 구조는 미적 실천자와 미적 심판자로 구성되는 검도 미학의 의미와 검도 본질을 이해하는 하나의 방법이다. 이를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스포츠 관전자의 미학적 이해의 기초는 미적 무관심성이다. 미적 무관심성은 대상에 대해 주관적인 관심을 배제하는 이상적 태도이다. 둘째, 관전자의 주관적인 미적 체험의 요소는 직관미과 감정미이다. 셋째, 관전자의 미적 체험의 자세는 미적 대상에서 나오는 미적 가치와 접촉하여 새로운 미적 체험의 구조를 만들어낸다. 즉 검도 실천자의 움직임이 형식미, 내용미, 기능미를 통해 검도 관전자에게 드러난다. 검도의 형식미는 정중동(靜中動)하고 동중정(動中靜)하는 동정(動靜)의 결합을 체험하는 것이고, 내용미는 형식미에서 나온 외형적, 정신적 요소를 파악하는 것이다. 기능미는 칼의 운용 과정과 그 결과를 체험하는 미이다. 여기서 관전자는 ‘검도의 멋’을 체험할 수 있다. 넷째, 검도 관전자는 형식미, 내용미, 기능미에서 기술미, 사생미(死生美), 인격미를 체험한다. 기술미는 기·검·체 일치가 합목적 지향에 일치되는 것을 파악하는 것이다. 사생미는 검도에서 죽음과 생생한 삶을 느끼는 것이며, 인격미는 오랜 수행의 결과에서 나오는 인격을 파악하는 것이다. 여기서 관전자는 ‘검도의 맛’을 체험한다. 결론적으로 검도 관전자는 미적 무관심성을 기초로 주관적인 미적 체험의 요소인 직관미과 감정미를 바탕으로 ‘검도의 맛’과 ‘검도의 멋’을 동시에 체험할 때 관전자의 미적 체험이 완성된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to delineate the structure of aesthetic experience of occurring in Kumdo aesthetics from a viewpoint of the spectator. The aesthetic experience holding Kumdo's spectator is one of many methods to appreciate the essence of Kumdo. The results of this thesis are as follows: First, the foundation of aesthetic understanding in the sport spectator is aesthetic disinterestedness. This is perfect attitude excluded the subjective interests. Second, the elements of aesthetic experience in subjective spectator are aesthetic intuition and aesthetic affection. As connected the aesthetic values in showing aesthetic object, the subjective attitude makes the structure of aesthetic experience in aesthetic experience. Kumdo's spectator recognizes the movement of Kumdo's performer through beauty of type, beauty of content and beauty of skill. The beauty of type in Kumdo is to experience the combination between static and dynamic movement. The beauty of content in Kumdo is to grasp the external, psychological elements involving the form, atmosphere in Kumdo, The beauty of skill is to experience the works of swords and result of it. Spectator must experience 'external taste' in their beauties. Spectator must experience the beauty of art, beauty of character, and beauty of life and death in those of type. The beauty of art is to find out the unification of Ki(氣), Jian(劍), and Ti(體). The beauty of life and death is to really feel the living and fear in Kumdo competition and movement. The beauty of character is to grasp the personality effused in the process of cultivation for a long time. Those are to feel 'immanent taste' in Kumdo. In conclusion, the completion of aesthetic experience possesses 'external taste' and 'immanent taste' at the same time.
