무용의 행복에 관한 미학적 단상(斷想)

이 글은 행복에 관한 일반적인 고찰로부터 예술에서의 행복이 어떤 것인지의 논의 가능성을 통해, 몸짓의 언어로서 무용예술에서의 행복이 무엇인지를 미학적인 관점에서 접근을 시도하고 있다. 특히‘삶에 대한 자기-만족도’로서의 행복감이 지극히 주관적인 것임을 전제한 후, 아름다운 삶에 대한 만족 상태는 개인의 쾌·불쾌의 감정에 관한 주관성에 기인함을 칸트의‘미적 판단의 주관성’에서 살피고 있다. 더욱이 행복이 개인의 만족 상태로서 강한 주관적 특성을 갖는 것임에도 불구하고, 그 주관성을 뛰어 넘는 주관적 보편성(상호 주관성)을 가질 수 있다는 논리 또한 칸트의‘심미적 공통감’개념을 통해 고찰하고 있다. 또한 이와 같은 행복에 대한 만족감은 대상에서보다는 오히려 주관에서 발생하는 것으로, 그것은 마치 미적 대상에 관한 주관의 쾌·불쾌의 감정에 기인하는 ‘미적 쾌’와 유사하다는 사실도 확인하고 있다. 그리고 이와 같은 성격을 갖는 행복에 대해, 인간의 대표적인 정신활동 영역인 예술로서의 무용 속에서 그 행복의 만족감이 어떤 것인지를 행복의 두 주체(춤 감상자와 춤 창작자)의 체험(미적 체험과 예술적 체험)을 통해 살펴보면서, 몸짓의 언어로서 무용예술이 더 큰 만족의 행복을 누리기 위해서는‘미적 커뮤니케이션’을 지향하는 활동이어야 함을 강조하고 있다.
Abstract
This article focuses an aesthetic point of view on happiness in art of dance. To do so I presented the grounds for what true happiness is in the arts after went into happiness in general. I supported Kant’s ‘subjectivity of aesthetic judgement’ for life satisfaction depends on an individual subjectivity of pleasure-unpleasure after brought to a conclusion that happiness or life satisfaction is quite subjective. I, also, supported Kant’s ‘sensus communis aestheticus’ for subjective universal validity beyond an individual subjectivity of happiness. I made a conclusion that an individual subjectivity of pleasure-unpleasure about an aesthetic object came from not the object itself but his or her subjectivity of aesthetic judgement based on emotion caused by it. I emphasized that ‘aesthetic communication’ is needed for the better happiness in art of dance as a kind of body language after made mention of how both a dancer(an aesthetic experience of artist) and appreciator(an aesthetic experience of viewer) feel about art of dance.
