체육계열 학과 교육과정의 균형적 발전 방향: 스포츠지도사 자격검정 필기 과목 중심으로

본 연구에서는 수도권 지역의 체육계열 학과 교육과정을 조사하고, 스포츠지도사 자격검정 필기 과목을 교육과정에 포함시키는 필요성과 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 체육계열 학과의 목표와 교육과정을 조사하고 관련 논문 및 저서 등을 수집하여 내용을 정리한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 체육계열 전공자들은 스포츠지도사 자격검정의 필기 교과목에 대한 이해도와 필기시험 대비에 따른 이론학습 능력이 부족하다. 둘째, 실제로 대다수 대학에서는 체육학의 기초학문으로 구성한 스포츠지도사 자격증의 필기시험 과목을 교육과정 내에 포함하고 있지 않다. 셋째, ‘스포츠윤리’와 ‘한국체육사’ 과목이 부족하며, 체육철학과 윤리는 스포츠지도자가 필수적으로 갖춰야 할 가치관과 관련이 깊지만, 현재 교육에서 소홀히 다뤄지고 있다. 따라서 체육계열 학과의 전문성 함양과 스포츠 전공자들이 진정한 스포츠 전문가로 성장하기 위해서 체육계열 학과의 교육과정에 있어서 체육학의 기초 지식을 습득할 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 데에 스포츠지도사 자격검정의 필기 과목을 교육과정에 포함하는 변화가 필요하다. 특히, 이론과 실기 과목의 비중을 균형있게 조정하여 이론과 실기를 겸비한 인재로 거듭날 수 있도록 도와야 한다. 또한, 사회에서 요구하는 인재상을 중점으로 제시된 대학 교육목표에 따라 전인적 인격 형성에 도움이 될 수 있도록 환경의 변화가 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the curriculum of physical education departments in the metropolitan area and to suggest the necessity and direction of including written subjects for the qualification test for sports coach in the curriculum. Accordingly, the goals and curriculum of physical education departments were investigated and related articles and books were collected and organized as follows. First, current sports majors lack understanding of the written subjects of the sports coach qualification test and theoretical learning ability in preparation for the written test. Second, the curriculum does not include awritten test subject of the sports coach’s certificate, which is composed of the basic studies of physical education, in most universities. Third, sports ethics and ethics are deeply related to the values that sports coach must possess, but sports philosophy and ethics are currently neglected in education. Consequently, it is necessary to include written subjects to the sports coach qualification test in the curriculum in order to foster professionalism in the physical education department. Moreover, this is essential to create an environment where sports majors can acquire basic knowledge of physical education in the curriculum in order to grow into true sports experts. In particular, talented people with both theoretical and practical skills should adjust the proportion of theoretical and practical subjects in a balanced way. Lastly, the environment should change so that it can help shaping a well-balanced person according to the university educational goals presented with a focus on the talent image required by society.
