Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate students' needs and fatigue patterns in face-to-face and non-face-to-face bitact interactions during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The subjects included 675 students attending elementary, middle, and high schools situated in large cities, small- and medium-sized cities, as well as rural areas. The research method involved administering a semi-structured survey on needs and fatigue patterns regarding bitact classes. Following the coding process, an analysis was conducted, encompassing a frequency analysis of keywords, exploring the centrality of relationships between keywords, and examining sub-cohesive structures. Additionally, a network analysis was performed. The research results are as follows: Firstly, the most frequently mentioned keywords in relation to needs for bitact classes were “understanding unknown parts through repetitive learning” (N=159). Conversely, the most commonly cited keywords associated with fatigue in bitact classes were related to server errors, particularly in class participation (N=205). Secondly, in the centrality analysis of needs for bitact classes, factors such as a comfortable posture and clothing played a major role. An analysis of the keyword cohesion structure revealed the existence of five distinct groups. Thirdly, the centrality analysis of fatigue in the bitact class revealed that challenges in participating in class due to server errors played a major role. An analysis of the keyword cohesion structure identified four groups. Based on the research results, recommendations for directions and teaching methods are provided to prepare for the post-corona or pandemic era, aiming to enhance students' learning effectiveness in the bitact environment.
