이 연구는 시각장애 뮤지션의 생애사적 접근을 통해 교육적 의미를 탐구하는 데에 목적이 있다. 어린 시절부터 음악적 두각을 나타낸 연구참여자는 많은 시행착오와 대인관계의 어려움, 경제적 빈곤 문제 등을 겪으며 살아왔다. 그럼에도 불구하고 연구참여자는 성장의 과정 속에서 끊임없는 노력을 통해 자기 자신을 형성해 나가고 있으며, 실패를 마주할 때도 포기하지 않고 새로운 미래를 계획하였다. 또한 자신이 지닌 음악적 능력보다는 대인관계 속에서 다양한 배움들을 실천해 나가고 있다. 그리고 뮤지션이라는 꿈을 지속적으로 영위해 나가기 위해 부단한 노력을 하고 있다. 또한 음악 교육의 교수자로서 학습자의 입장을 고려하여 강좌를 운영해 나가며 ‘우리’ 공동체를 만들어 가고 있다. 특히 강좌에서는 이론 및 지식적인 요소에 천착하기보다는 사람과의 관계성을 통해 타자들과 마주하고 있다. 시각장애라는 선천적인 어려움을 겪으며 여러 기관에서 뮤지션으로, 음악 교육의 교수자로 활동하고 있는 연구참여자의 삶은 사람다움의 가치를 담아내는 인격교육적 의미를 담고 있다. 특히 음악에 대한 진정성과 함께 공감과 친밀감을 통해 타자지향적인 삶을 이어가고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the educational meaning of visually impaired musicians through a life-historical approach. Research participants who have emerged from a young age have lived through many trial and error, difficulties in interpersonal relations, and economic poverty. Nevertheless, the research participants are forming themselves through constant efforts in the process of growth, and even when faced with failure, they did not give up and planned a new future. In addition, he is practicing various learning in interpersonal relationships rather than his musical ability. He is making ceaseless efforts to continue his dream of becoming a musician. In addition, as a professor of music education, he is creating a 'we' community by operating courses in consideration of the learner's position. In particular, in the course, rather than focusing on theoretical and intellectual elements, they face others through relationships with people. The life of research participants who suffer from the innate difficulties of visual impairment and are working as musicians and music education instructors in various institutions contains the meaning of personal education that contains the value of humanity. In particular, he continues to live a life oriented toward others through empathy and intimacy along with authenticity of music.
