Abstract
In the 21st century, the transcendental psychology, called the fourth generation of psychology, caused a great stir when it was synthesized into integral psychology by Ken Wilber. Integral psychology is based upon the perennial philosophy by Aldous Huxley which was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in Europe. The perennial phiposophy presents the world view of immanence which views the world and the universe as a nexus or chain rather than a collection of individuals. And all beings are seen as moving towards perfection by entering the transcendent realm through development and progress. Ken Wilber elaborates and integrates this idea, presenting a comprehensive map for realizing human potential and transcendence through the essential elements of various religious cultures and traditions. He called this roadmap an integral map, and its specific model is called the AQAL. In this regard, Saramdaum education is similar to integral psychology in many aspects. Saramdaum education, like integral psychology, is very friendly to perennial philosophy and has the same ideology. It also shares with integral psychology the great chain of being, the acceptance of human development and progress, transcendence into the immaterial world, momentary qualitative leaps, and the realization of a transcendent and integrated self. Through a comparison of these two, I hope to provide a starting point for the formation of a practical roadmap for Saramdaum education in the future.
