키에르케고어의 기독교 비판, 그 현재적 의의 및 적용

과거 한국 교회는 세상에 빛과 소금의 역할을 잘 감당함으로써 세상 사람들로부터 사회 변혁의 주체 세력으로 인정받았지만, 코로나19 이후 교회를 중심으로 관리, 감독이 부실한 곳에서 집단감염이 연이어 발생하고 방역수칙을 제대로 따르지 않은 사실이 드러나자 한국 교회는 세상 사람들로부터 지탄과 혐오의 대상으로 추락하는 안타까운 현실을 보게 된다. 이런 상황에서 자신의 조국 덴마크의 국가 교회를 향한 키에르케고어의 신랄한 비판을 오늘의 한국 교회에도 그대로 투영시켜 거울로 삼아야 할 필요가 있다. 키에르케고어 당시의 교회 상황과 오늘의 한국 교회 상황이 다양한 측면에서 흡사한 점들이 발견되기 때문이다. 그 중에서도 특히 세상의 풍조에 떠밀려 분별없이 세속적인 것을 수용하는 교회의 “세속화”, 목회자의 권위와 주체성에 포섭되거나 경도되어 하나님 앞에서 단독자로서의 주체적 신앙의 약화 내지 상실, 복음의 본질인 하나님 사랑과 이웃 사랑의 실천적 믿음을 통해 세워지는 하나님 나라의 외면과 오로지 이 땅에서 건강하게 잘 먹고 잘 사는 웰빙적 신앙을 지향하는 왜곡된 이해에서 그 공통점을 찾을 수 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문은 최근 추락한 한국 교회의 위상과 명예를 회복할 목적으로 키에르케고어의 기독교 비판에 담겨 있는 신학적 사상을 소환하여 오늘의 한국 교회에 새롭게 적용할 당위성 및 타당성을 찾으려한다. 이를 위해 본고는 “서론”을 포함해 “교회에 대한 공격의 토대로서 실존적 진리,” “실존적 진리에 있어 정직과 교정의 중요성,” “성찰과 평준화의 시대,” “참된 교회의 원형으로서 신약 교회,” “결론: 키에르케고어의 기독교 비판은 오늘날 무슨 의미를 갖는가?”로 나누어 체계적으로 제시해 보았다.
Abstract
In the past, the Korean church was recognized as a major force in social change by non-believers by playing the role of light and salt in the world. However, after Corona 19, when it is revealed that the church has not properly followed the quarantine rules, the Korean church faces the sad reality of being condemned by non-believers. In this situation, it is necessary to reflect Kierkegaard's stinging criticism of the national church in his homeland, Denmark, as it is in today's Korean church and use it as a mirror. This is because the situation of the church at Kierkegaard's time and the situation of the church in Korea today are similar in many ways. Among them, the “secularization” of the church, the weakening or loss of the subjective faith of ordinary believers as a single person before God by being subsumed by the authority and subjectivity of the pastor, and the practical faith of God’s love and neighborly love, the essence of the gospel The commonality can be found in the loss and the distorted understanding that is directed towards the well-being of living well and eating well on this earth. Accordingly, this thesis seeks to find the justification and validity of a new application to today's Korean church by recalling the theological ideas contained in Kierkegaard's criticism of Christianity for the purpose of restoring the status and honor of the recently fallen Korean church. To this end, this paper, including “Introduction,” “Existential truth as a basis for attack on the church,” “The importance of honesty and correction in existential truth,” “The age of reflection and equalization,” “As the prototype of the true church, The New Testament Church,” “Conclusion: What does Kierkegaard’s critique of Christianity mean today?”
