본 연구에서는 통합 교육의 관점에서 초등학교 5~6학년을 위한 에너지 교육 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 두 단계의 개발 과정을 설계하였다. 첫 번째 단계로서 초등학교 5~6학년의 에너지 관련 과목의 교육과정과 교과서 내용을 분석하였다. 에너지 관련 과목으로서 과학, 사회, 실과, 도덕 과목을 분석하였으며, 그 결과 ‘에너지 제로 타운’이라는 통합 주제를 추출할 수 있었다. 두 번째 단계에는 내용적 통합과 방법적 통합이라는 두 관점으로 ‘에너지 제로 타운’의 세부 활동 과제를 고안하였다. 내용적 통합은 교과 간 간학문적 통합으로서 과학, 도덕, 사회, 실과를 핵심으로 하여, 국어과, 미술과를 도구 교과로 함께 포함시켰다. 방법적 통합의 관점에서는 인지, 행동, 정의적 영역의 활동 내용을 포함시켜 앎과 실천이 연결되는 교육 프로그램을 지향하였다. 끝으로 본 연구에서 개발된 프로그램이 에너지 교육의 측면에서, 교실에서의 실천적 측면에서 갖는 의미와 한계점을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop the energy education program for fifth and sixth graders in the perspective of integrated education. For the first step of development, we analyzed the contents related to energy in 2007-revised and 2009-revised elementary school curriculum. We extracted the common contents related to energy between four subjects, such as science, social studies, ethics and practical arts. “Energy zero town project” was decided as an integrated theme of energy education program. As the second step of development, the learning activities of “energy zero town project” were developed in the perspectives of integrated education. In our program, the integrated perspectives mean the integrations of two dimensions: the first dimension is the integration between subjects; the second dimension is the integration among cognitive, affective and practical aspects. Finally, the educational implications were discussed in terms of the energy education and of the educational practice.
