Abstract

Space operations are essentially Joint operations. The Army space operations are all activities in which the Army utilizes space power and available space assets to win ground operations, and the Army should be able to contribute to Joint operations through space operations. The specific means for this are the seven capabilities of the Army Space operations. The seven capabilities of the Army Space Operations are a basic classification and scope for the development of the Army Space Operations Capability and the method of performing operations, and are the criteria for deriving and deploying the necessary space power for the Army's space operations. The Army Space Operations capabilities do not operate on their own, but contribute to the victory of ground operations by providing multi-layered, complex and organic support to the Army's six warfighting functions. This paper will be a leading study that establishes the relationship between the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Army space operations and suggests how the Army space operations capabilities support warfighting functions.
