상호문화철학은 소통과 상호변혁을 추구하기 때문에 이해가 필수적이다. 그래서 상호문화철학에 적절한 해석학이 절실하다. 우리는 철학적 해석학이 거기에 해당하는지 검토해보고자 한다. 핵심적인 질문은그것이 문화적 타자를 이해하는 과제에도 적합한가 이다. 우리가 문화적 타자를 다루는 이유는 그가 인정도 받지 못하며 극단적으로 다르기때문이다. 그렇지만 이 질문이 가능한 이유는 철학적 해석학이 동일성의 해석학의 일종이기는 하지만 차이에도 개방되어 있기 때문이다. 그것은 동일성과 통일성을 추구할 뿐만 아니라 차이와 그것에 의해서 교란당함도 허용하려고 노력한다. 이 해석학에서도 지평융합이 흥미로운데, 그 이유는 문화적 타자를 이해하는 것을 가능하게 해줄 것처럼 보이기 때문이다. 그러나 이 기대는 제대로 채워질 수 없는데, 그 이유는 지평들을 융합하려고 노력하기 때문이다. 융합하려는 노력과 전체화하려는노력은 결국 전체주의적이다. 더 나아가 이해 주체가 타자를 구성하게만들려는 위험도 존재한다.
Abstract
Understanding is essential because intercultural philosophy seeks communication and mutualtransformation. Therefore, intercultural philosophy is desperate for an appropriatehermeneutics. We would like to examine whether philosophical hermeneutics is the case. Thekey question is whether it is also suitable for the task of understanding the cultural other. Thereason we deal with the cultural other is that he is not even recognized and is extremelydifferent. However, this question is possible because, although philosophical hermeneutics is akind of hermeneutics of identity, it is also open to differences. It not only seeks identity andunity, but also seeks to allow difference and being disturbed by it. One of the main cores of philosophical hermeneutics, fusion of horizons is also interestingbecause it seems to make it possible to understand the cultural other. But this expectation cannotbe met properly, because it tries to fuse the horizons. Efforts to fusion and efforts to totalizationare, after all, totalitarian. Furthermore, there is a danger of the construction of the culturalother by the subject of understanding.
