중증장애자녀 부모의 삶의 적응에 관한 현상학적 연구 : 지지와 도전을 통한 긍정적 삶의 재구축

본 연구는 중증장애자녀를 양육한 경험이 있는 부모들의 삶의 적응이 가지는 의미와 본질을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 8명의 중증장애자녀 부모들을 연구참여자로 선정하여 심층면접을 실시하였고, Giorgi(1985)의 현상학적 연구방법론을 적용하였다. 분석 결과, 93개의 중심의미와 12개의 드러난 주제 및 4개의 본질적 주제를 도출하였다. 본질적 주제는 ‘그늘 안에 깃든 미소’, ‘공감대 확대’, ‘힐링의 시간’, ‘도전과 극복의 힘’으로 구성되었고, 이를 관통하는 핵심주제는 ‘지지와 도전을 통해 긍정적으로 재구축되는 삶’ 이었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 중증장애자녀 부모들의 삶의 적응을 위한 사회복지 실천적 함의 및 제도적 개입 방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to understand the meanings and nature of the lifetime adaptation of the parents who take care of their children with severe disability. For this purpose, Giorgi’s phenomenological method was applied with the consented 8 participants from qualitative perspective. The statements of interview were classified into 93 main points, 12 prominent topics, and 4 essential themes. The 4 essential themes were ‘smile behind the shadow’, ‘extension of consensus’, ‘time of healing’, and ‘power of challenge and overcome’. The core message underlies all these essential themes is summarized as ‘the life which is reconstruct positively through support and challenge’. Based on the results, this study suggested institutional and practical intervention strategies, so that the parents can adapt better themselves in more positive way.
