청소년의 자아존중감과 진로태도성숙 발달에 관한 4년 종단연구

본 연구는 청소년의 자아존중감과 진로태도성숙의 변화여부 및 이들의 종단적 관련성을 살펴보았고, 성별의 공변량 효과를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 청소년패널자료(KYPS) 중 청소년의 중 2학년부터 고 2학년 시기의 4년 동안의 자료를 활용하였다. KYPS는 전체 중학교 2학년들을 모집단으로 하여 층화다단계군집표집(Stratified multi-stage cluster sampling)을 사용하여 연구대상자들로부터 자료를 추출하였다. 또한 본 연구는 종단연구 방법중 잠재성장모형(Latent Growth Model)을 적용하여 통계적 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 자아존중감과 진로성숙도는 시간이 흐를수록 모두 선형으로 증가하는 것을 볼 수 있었고, 자아존중감은 진로태도성숙의 초기치 뿐 아니라 성장률에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 두 변인에 대한 성별의 효과는 두변인의 초기시점에는 차이가 있었으나 성장률에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 끝으로 이러한 결과들을 통한 연구의 시사점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대해서 논의하고 있다.
Abstract
This study was intended to examine the developmental trajectories of self-esteem(SE) and career attitudes maturity(CAM) among adolescents, the longitudinal relationship between two variables, and the covariate effect of gender. This study used the data of Korean Youth Panel Study which was nationally represented sample of adolescents and have collected the longitudinal data with using Stratified Multi_stage Cluster Sampling for 4 years from second grade in the middle school to second grade in the high school. Two univariate latent growth model(LGM), multivariate LGM, and covaraite model were used to estimate developmental trajectories of SE and CAM. The results showed that both SE and CAM was growing linearly during adolescence and multivariate LGM results indicated that initial status of SE influenced that of CAM and concerning the rate of change of SE over time influenced the change rate of CAM. Finally, we discussed implications of this study and suggestions for future study.
