초록
This study was carried out to determine the depositional characteristics of several tree barks [Ginko (Ginkgo biloba), Pine (Pinus densiflora), Platanus (Platanus) and Metasequoia (Metasequoia glyptostroboides)], which are used as passive air samplers (PAS) of atmospheric polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Tree barks were sampled from the same site and PCBs were analyzed by GC/MSD, and the lipid contents were measured using gravimetric method. Ginko contained the highest lipid contents (7.82 mg/g dry), whereas Pine (4.85 mg/g dry),Platanus (3.61 mg/g dry), and Metasequoia (0.97 mg/g dry) contained less. The total PCB concentration was the highest in Ginko (50.69 pg/g dry), followed by Pine (44.58 pg/g dry), Platanus (33.88 pg/g dry), and Metasequoia (15.78 pg/g dry). Highly significant correlations were found between the lipid contents and PCBs concentrations in tree barks (R2 = 0.9417, p = 0.0296). Dominant PCB compounds in tree barks were the lower chlorinatd biphenyls, particularly, PCB 28 and 52 was the main congener and accounted for 83.8-87.5% of the total PCBs.
