본 연구는 지시적 모래상자놀이를 실시하여 우울성향 어머니의 양육스트레스가 감소되는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구 문제는 첫째, 지시적 모래상자놀이가 우울성향 어머니의 양육스트레스에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가, 둘째, 지시적 모래상자놀이가 우울성향 어머니의 언어적 표현에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가이다. 연구대상은 G시 G교회에 다니는 어머니로 자녀양육에 어려움이 있고 우울감을 호소하며, 자기보고식 우울 검사에서 임상적 우울의 경계선에 해당하는 18점 이상을 받은 총 3명이다. 지시적 모래상자놀이는 프로그램이해, 탐색단계, 인식단계, 실행단계, 마무리로 구성되었으며, 프로그램의 진행은 총 8회기로 매주 2회, 회기당 60분으로 진행되었다. 우울성향 어머니의 양육스트레스 변화는 사전・사후・추후에 자기보고식 양육스트레스 검사에서 측정된 점수로 비교하였으며, 회기 내・밖 우울성향 어머니의 언어적 표현을 측정하고 질적 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지시적 모래상자놀이는 우울성향 어머니의 자기보고식 척도에서 양육스트레스가 감소되었다. 둘째, 지시적 모래상자놀이는 우울성향 어머니의 회기 내・밖 언어적 표현을 긍정표현은 증가하고, 부정표현은 감소되었다. 본 연구에서는 중다간헐기초선 설계를 적용한 소수 사례 연구로 지시적 모래상자놀이가 우울성향 어머니의 양육스트레스 감소를 확인하였다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of directive sand tray play on the parenting stress of mothers with depressive tendency. In particular, the study aimed to, firstly, confirm the effect of the directive sand tray play on the parenting stress of mothers with depressive tendency, and secondly, to clarify the effect of directive sand tray play on the linguistic expression of mothers with depressive tendency. The directive sand tray play consisted of program interpretation, exploration stage, recognition stage, execution stage, and finishing. The change in the parenting stress of mothers with depressive tendency was measured by comparing their scores in the self-reporting parenting stress test before, after, and at a program follow-up. In order to recognize changes in linguistic expression, we measured, analyzed, and qualitatively described changes in and out of the directive sand tray play session. The results of this study are as follows: First, the directive sand tray play reduced parenting stress on the self-reported measure of mothers with depressive tendency; second, the directive sand tray play increased mothers’ positive expression and decreased negative expression in and out of the session. This study a small number of case studies using a multiple probe baseline design, and directive sand tray play is significant in that it has been confirmed to reduce the parenting stress of mothers with depressive tendency.
