어머니 행복감과 양육행동이 아동의 행복감에 미치는 영향

초록

이 연구는 어머니의 행복감과 양육행동이 아동의 행복감에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 고안된 연구이다. 연구대상은 11차 아동패널연구에 참여한 1331명의 학령기 후기 만11세에서 12세에 해당되는 아동으로 남아는 565명, 여아는 566명이다. 본 연구는 어머니의 행복감과 양육행동이 아동의 행복감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 SPSS 23.0으로 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 어머니 행복감과 양육행동은 아동의 행복감과 유의미한 상관을 나타냈다. 두 번째, 아동의 행복감을 예측하는 변인으로 어머니의 양육행동 중 권위적 양육행동과 허용적 양육행동으로 나타났지만, 어머니의 행복감은 아동의 행복감을 예측하는 유의한 변인으로 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과는 아동의 행복감이 어머니의 양육행동과 관련되어 있음을 알 수 있으며 나아가 아동의 행복감을 증진시키기 위해 앞으로의 연구 및 실제에 의미있는 기여를 할 것으로 판단된다.

Abstract

This study examined the effects of mother’s happiness and parental behavior on children’s happiness. The study sample was 1331 elementary school forth graders (655 boys, 656 girls) who had participated in the eleventh wave of the Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC). The data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlations and regression analysis with SPSS 23.0. The results are as follows. First, mother’s happiness and parental behavior had a significant correlation on children’s happiness. Second, mother’s authoritative paternal behavior and permissive paternal behavior are predict variables for children’s happiness. These results add to a better understanding of the mechanism linking mother’s happiness and parental behavior on children’s happiness. These findings can serve as an important contribution to future research and practices for increasing children’s happiness.
