본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 환경교육 활동이 유아의 환경감수성과 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 U광역시에 소재한 H어린이집과 Y어린이집에 재원 중인 6세 유아 30명(실험집단 15명, 통제집단 15명)이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 30.0 프로그램을 통해 독립표본 t검증과 대응표본 t검증으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그림책을 활용한 환경교육 활동은 유아의 환경감수성을 유의미하게 향상시켰다. 둘째, 환경친화적 태도 또한 실험집단에서 유의미한 향상을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 그림책이 유아에게 친숙한 매체로서 유아의 환경감수성과 환경친화적 태도를 기르는데 효과적인 교수-학습 매체가 될 수 있음을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of environmental education activities using picture books on young children's environmental sensitivity and environment-friendly attitudes. The participants were 30 six-year-old children enrolled in H and Y daycare centers located in U metropolitan city (15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group). The collected data were analyzed using independent samples t-tests and paired samples t-tests with SPSS 30.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, environmental education activities using picture books significantly improved children's environmental sensitivity. Second, environment-friendly attitudes also showed significant improvement in the experimental group. These findings suggest that picture books, as a familiar medium for young children, can serve as an effective instructional tool for fostering environmental sensitivity and environment-friendly attitudes in early childhood education.
