초록
This article examines Louise Erdrich’s use of multi-perspectival narration in The Beet Queen. This is achieved by exploring the complex narrative structures, which are key elements of her novel, and analyzing how these structures influence the establishment of identities and perspectives. The novel’s multi-perspectivity and narrative interaction highlight the necessity of multiple voices, emphasizing that a single individual cannot define the meaning of an experience. Erdrich underscores the significance of mutuality and interaction, demonstrating that individual transformation and renewal are not achieved through personal vision or isolation, but through self-reflexivity and engagement among individuals with varying personal perceptions and experiences.
