This article examines Louise Erdrich’s use of multi-perspectival narration in Love Medicine. The article explores the work’s complex and various narrative structures that upend more traditional linear narratives. By looking at how different narrators utilize their individual stories to redefine their experiences in the process of searching for subjectivity, I investigate how this novel reflects the harmony and balance between individuality and dependence, story and character, and personal strength and collective force.
