Abstract
The current study was conducted to examine the structural relationship between kaleidoscope career model (KCM), job satisfaction (JS), employee engagement (EE), and perceived job performance (PJP) based on value-attitude-behavior (VAB) theory and career plateauing, and to analyze differences between groups according to work experience. We conducted an online survey for domestic corporate employees for 6 weeks, and collected a total of 373 responses. Based on 10 years of work experience, we divided the data into two groups. Using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0, the result of analysis are as follows: (1) the direct effect on the relationship between KCM and PJP was not significant, but the indirect effects was significant; (2) the relationship between KCM and JS had a positively significant effect; (3) the relationship between KCM and EE had a positively significant effect; (4) the relationship between JS and EE had a positively significant effect; (5) the relationship between JS and PJP had no significant effect; (6) the relationship between EE and PJP had a positively significant effect; (7) as a result of multi-group analysis, the path coefficient of group 2 was significantly higher than group 1 in the path between KCM and JS. In addition, the path coefficient of group 1 was positively significant in the path between JS and PJP, but group 2 was not. Based on the research results, we provided implications of theoretical and practical of HRD.
