이 논문의 목적은 아도르노의 카프카 읽기가 사회철학적 독해이며 그 결과는아도르노화된 카프카였다는 것을 밝히는 데 있다. 그의 카프카 읽기는 크게 서술기법과 내용비평으로 나눌 수 있다. 내용비평의 주요쟁점은 실존주의적 해석, 정신분석학적 해석, 종교적 해석에 관한 것이다. 그에 따르면 표현의 중단과 축어성의 원칙, 전통적 의미의 표현주의 기법과 그것을 넘어서는 카프카적 끄적거림 등은 문학 언어를 통한 사회적 현혹연관, 물화된 세계에 대한 원초적 미메시스로서의 카프카적 언어이며 카프카 문학언어에서 ‘사회적인 것’이다.‘사회적인 것’을 발견하려는 아도르노는 그의 키에르케고르나 하이데거 비판의 논리에 입각해 실존주의적 해석을 비판하며 카프카 작품 내의 사물화와 자본주의적권력화의 소설적 형성화 내용을 그 근거로 제시한다. 그는 사회적 총체성을 인식하는데 근본적인 한계를 갖는 정신분석학을 사회철학적으로 변용시켜 프로이트주의자에서 프로이트를 넘어서 사회적인 것의 탐구자로서 카프카를 조명한다. 종교적 해석에 적대적인 그는 저항 차원의 사회적 구원의 소극적인 모색자로서카프카를 그려낸다. 아도르노의 카프카 작품에 대한 사회철학적 분석의 한계는주요 쟁점과 논의 전개에 관련된 작품 자체에 대한 각론적 분석이 부족하며 자신이 비판하는 기존의 읽기방식에 대한 심층적인 분석을 생략하고 있다는 데서찾을 수 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 아도르노의 카프카 읽기는 기존의 카프카 문학 연구자들이 보여주는 불명료하며 각론적 차원에서 수행된 사회학적 읽기를넘어서는 사회철학적 읽기의 한 전형을 보여준다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to understand the interpretation about Kafka's thoughts by Adorno and to find out the result of Adornoism-pursued Kafka's idea. The interpretation about Kafka's thoughts by Adorno can be divided into description techniques and content reviews. The major issue of content reviews is related to existential interpretation, psychoanalytic interpretation and religious interpretation. Adorno asserted that regarding social absurdities and the animistic world, Kafka used primitive mimesis-based literary language to establish principles of expression severance and verbatim, expressionism techniques from traditional perspectives and Kafkaism-based flat declinations beyond the established expressionism methods. This means something to do with 'social elements' in the literary language that Kafka adopted. The interpretation about Kafka's thought systems by Adorno criticizes existential interpretation based on critical reviews of Kierkegaard or Heidegger and presents materialism and capitalistic authority in Kafka’s works. Adorno regards Kafka as a social explorer beyond Freudism and Freud. Also he transforms psychoanalysis-focused social philosophy having the fundamental limit in interpreting whole social consequences. Adorno against religious interpretation, described Kafka as a defensive contemplator of social resistance and social salvation. He criticized a limit in socio-philosophical analysis of Kafka's works by Adorno. And he omitted the insufficient exhaustive analysis of Kafka's works as to major issue, discussion process, and the absence of in-depth analysis of the established interpretation methods. Nevertheless, the interpretation about Kafka's thought systems by Adorno is a typical example of socio-philosophical analysis beyond equivocal and exhaustive social reviews that Kafka literature researchers pursued.
