존재이해의 힘 안에 머무름: 하이데거의 『형이상학 입문』에서 ‘형이상학적 현존재’

본 논문은 하이데거의 저작인 『형이상학 입문』(1935)의 주요내용을 ‘형이상학적 현존재’라는 측면에서 재조명하고자 한다. 이는 소위 사유의 ‘전회’ 이후 존재의 역운이 강조되는 시점에서 오히려 현존재의 의미를 강조하기 위한 시도이다. 물론 『형이상학 입문』의 현존재 개념을 『존재와 시간』의 현존재개념으로 환원하려는 노력은 무익하다. 불가피한 차이가 있기 때문이다. 본 논문은 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 ‘형이상학적인 현존재’라는 가능성을 타진하고자 한다. 다시 말해, 『형이상학 입문』의 주요 논의로부터 현존재개념을 구성해 ‘형이상학적 현존재’라는 개념적 매개체를 만들어 내고자 한다. 이렇게 만들어진 형이상학적 현존재란 ‘존재이해의 힘 안에 머무르는 현존재’가 될 것이다. 논자는 이러한 독해가 『형이상학 입문』의 근본적인 입장에도 충분히 부합한다고 생각하며, 또한 그의 사유의 전회에도 불구하고 『존재와 시간』의 기초존재론이 가지는 보다 심층적인 의미를 발굴하는 단초로서 기능할 수 있다고 생각한다.
Abstract
This paper aims to reexamine the main content of Heidegger's work, Introduction to Metaphysics (1935), in terms of 'metaphysical being-there'. This is an attempt to emphasize the meaning of being-there at a time when the destiny of being(Geschick) is emphasized after the so-called "turn" of thought. Of course, it is futile to try to reduce the concept of being-there in Introduction to Metaphysics to the concept of being-there in Being and Time. This is because there are inevitable differences. This paper seeks to address this issue by exploring a third possibility: metaphysical being-there. Specifically, I will read the main discussion of Introduction to Metaphysics as insistently centered on the notion of being-there to create the conceptual vehicle of 'metaphysical being-there'. The metaphysical being-there thus created will be a being-there that stays within the power of understanding-of-being. I believe that this reading is fully consistent with the fundamental position of Introduction to Metaphysics and, despite the turn of his thought, can serve the function of uncovering the deeper meaning of the basic ontology of Being and Time.
