초록
The extant study of Goryo pottery is not originally surveyed with the reliable relic sources, because there are not little pottery relics from the considerable soil layer, an absolute historical data and background standard basis to establish the pottery chronicle. For these reasons, it is not easy to establish the potter chronicle with using just the shape of pottery and it is the essential reason not to advance in the pottery research of Goryo dynasty period. The absolute historical materials and data need for us to examine the shape of the pottery closely since Goryo-period. But there is no recording data verified until now and the extant pottery relics used for the principal, if ever, is mainly excavated from relic sites with a long lifetime like a buildings. So, it is not easy to estimate the age of the pottery accurately. Under the above circumstance, the pottery kiln site located in Sihung Bangsan-Dong is very significant in examining Goryo pottery. Its kiln site was proved to switch over the pottery ceramic industry to celadon porcelain ceramic one, in that Korea's first celadon kiln site was excavated right on the this pottery kiln site in Bangsan-Dong. In other words, the beginning time of celadon porcelain kiln will be a great help to establish the closing period of the pottery kiln site. Therefore, I tried to find the working period of Bangsan-Dong kiln site through 2 evidences. Firstly, a striped shape bottle, a bottle with abacus bead shape, bottle with one flattened side known as the unearthed articles from late-Shilla age to the early-Goryo age was excavated from Bangsan-Dong kiln site. Thus, we could assume the closing time of pottery kiln site, in comparing and analysing its unearthed bottles with those bottles digged up from other remains. If we know the closing time of these pottery exactly, the closing time of Bangsan-Dong pottery kiln site, included these pottery, also can be estimated reasonably. In the result of the previous findings and unearthed materials examined recently, we could get the consequence that the above these bottles were verified by the late 10th century. Secondly, we were able to limit the working period of pottery kiln site, as inspecting the beginning period of celadon porcelain kiln site with front and rear of soil layer. Sihung Bangsan-Dong celadon kiln site has been known as our first production site for celadon porcelain. Also, it was proved that the celadon was proved to produce in the early-middle of 10th century by the structure of kiln and the kinds, constitution, shape. Namely, it was understood that the celadon started to be produced, at latest, before the middle of 10th century. Thus, we can expect that the pottery kiln, which is right on the celadon kiln, be used before the middle of 10th century, and futhermore, there won't any problem that we use the pottery produced at this relics as the pottery paradigm of preceding the mid-tenth century. The materials of pottery kiln in Sihung Bangsan-Dong will be able to be established as important standard pottery remains before the mid-tenth century.
