초록

This the purpose of this study is to explain the process and the background of transfer of the ceramic industry. This study presumed the center of the ceramic industry moved from the mid western area to the south western area and tried to demonstrate that theory with the law system history and materials. Previous theories insisted on the Kang-Jin as the place of origin of the celadon or both mid western and south western areas developed ceramic industries under the separated condition. But even though therewere archaeological evidence, those theories misinterpreted the materials and made misunderstanding. This study is convinced that Goryo celadon industry started in Gae-Sung around mid western area for the large amount of consumption in the first half part of the 10th century, and the celadon industry moved into the south western area in the late 10th to to early 11th century while establishing the governing system. This could be approached from two angles, one is the view of political history and the other is law systemic view. In the view of political history, the maternal relatives of the Goryo kingdom in Na-Ju province took over the celadon industry, and as the result the Kang-Jin, Hae-Nam, and Jang-Hueng areas under Na-Ju province were became the center cities of the ceramic industy. In the view of law system history, the tax system had established in this period so taxes could be collected through the sea route. The sea route helped the upper classes to purchase the celadon and delivered the products to the mid western area. As a result of those systems, south western area prospered the ceramic industry. In consequence of this study, while the late 10th century and the early 11th century, the celadon industry moved to south western area from the mid western area Gae-Sung, and the Na-Ju Oh’s family managed the celadon industry through the So-system under the newly modified political and tax system.
