일본의 역사 사전, 개설(론)서에 보이는 古代 한―일 관계

이 연구에서 필자는 일본의 역사 사전류 혹은 개설(론) 종류의 서적에 나타난 고대 한일 관계 관련 기술의 특징으로서 종래의 임나 지배설을 비판 내지 부정하는 논조가 전반적 추세로서 자리 잡아 가고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그렇지만 한편으로 <임나 지배>론에 대한 부정이 철저하지 못함도 아울러 확인할 수 있었다. 이것을 달리 말하면 일본학계가 아직 <임나 지배>론을 완전히 포기한 것은 아니라고 해석할 수도 있고 또 한편으로는 <임나 지배>에 대한 부정이 대세를 이루어가고 있기는 하나 아직 <임나 지배>의 부정 이후에 마땅히 재구축되어야 할 고대 한일 關係史像이 모색 단계에 머무르고 있는 것을 시사한다고도 해석할 수 있을 것이다. 고대 한일 關係史에 관한 일본 학계의 현황에 관하여 필자는 <설명체계 재구축의 과도기 혹은 모색기>로서 이해할 수 있지 않을까 하는 견해를 제시하였다. 그리고 현재 단계는, 對한반도 우위맹주론을 기저에 깔고서 일본 고대국가의 성립 과정을 중국 중심의 책봉 체제에서 이탈하여 독자적 천하관이 성립해 감과 아울러 일본 중심의 小帝國 질서가 구축되어 가는 과정으로서 설명하는 구도가 보다 일반화되어 가고 있다고 정리하였다. 다시 말해 과거처럼 임나 지배 운운 하지 않으면서 한반도 諸國에 우위성을 갖는 小帝國 일본의 성립과정과 그 위상을 설명하는 논조가 정착되어 가고 있다는 것이다.
Abstract
A Study on the descriptions about the Ancient KoreaJapan Relations Appeared in Cyclopedia and General remarks of Japanese History In this paper, I have argued on the problems of descriptions about the ancient Korea—Japan relations appeared in cyclopedia and general remarks of Japanese History in Japan. So, I found the most serious problem was also concerning matter of Mimana(任那). In the past it was ordinary recognized in Japan that Yamato Japan have ruled the Mimana region during 250 years old since the 4th century as a historical fact. But since the 1980′s, even though it has not reached as a perfect ordinary thought yet, it appeared a tendence that Mimana—nihonhu(任那日本府) was not regarded as a ruler but a just diplomat. But I think it remains disputable. And I pointed out the basic view point of Japanese ancient history is under the theory of <Eastern Small–Empire> and also the ancient Korea—Japan relations is explained under its theory, too.
