해방기 소년소설에 나타난 아동상 탐색 : 아동잡지에 게재된 소년소설을 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 해방공간의 소년소설 속 아동상 탐색을 목적을 두고 시작하였다. 해방공간 한국아동문학에 나타나는 가장 큰 특징으로 ‘아동잡지의 족출현상과 소년소설의 대두’라는 점에 기반을 둔다. 먼저 해방공간의 아동잡지의 현황을 먼저 살피고 잡지에 개제된 소년소설 속 아동상 분석을 통하여 해방공간의 소년소설에 나타나는 아동상의 면모를 살펴보았다. ‘해방공간’이라는 민족 내적인 특수한 상황에서 민족의 자주 번영이라는 일정한 목적의식을 명백히 내포한 채 아동소설에 등장하는 아동상은 단결하는‘협동의 아동상’> 고난극복의 주도적 아동상> 현실을 고발하는 애상형 아동상> 순수한 동심의 아동상> 다면적 원숙한 성장형 아동상의 순으로 그 유형이 발견된다. 이는 해방공간의 시대적 애환과 소명을 가진 작가와 잡지 발행·편집인의 소망의 결과다. 해방공간의 아동잡지에 게재된 소년소설의 아동상은 시대가 봉착한 여러 사회문제를 대변하기도 하며 또한 새로운 시대의 아동상을 제시하여 아동독자가 비슷한 위기에 처했을 때에 영향력을 미치고 있었으며 다음 시대의 소년소설들에도 큰 영향력을 미치고 있었다.

Abstract

This study investigates the highly productive phenomenon of children's magazines which is the most distinguished feature in the Korean children's literature of Space of Liberation and also investigates the then state of the children's magazines which were the media for children while the children's novels greatly come to the fore in those days. This study also investigates the aspect of the children's literature of Space of Liberation through the figure of children of the children's novels which were published in the children's magazines in those days. The figure of children of the children's novels clearly contained the fixed sense of purpose, namely the national independent prosperity in the national inner special situation. The typical figures of children of the children's novels were 'the figure of children who hold together and co-operate'> 'the figure of children who are dominant and overcome difficulties'> 'the figure of children who prosecute the reality and are in sadness'> 'the figure of children who are pure innocent'> 'the figure of children who are many-sided mature'. This order is the probable order which is appeared in the children's novels. And these figures were the results of the desires of the editors, the publishers who published the children's magazines, and the writers who had joys and sorrows of the times and realized their calling of Space of Liberation. The figures of children of the children's novels which were published in the children's magazines of Space of Liberation spoke for the various social problems which the times met. They also suggested the figure of children of the new times and led a child reader to be the host who chooses and determines for himself when he is in a similar danger. They also had a strong impact on the children's novels of the next era.
