臺灣 文言文 교육의 현황과 문제 -중등교육 國文교과서를 중심으로-

한자문화권에서는 고문헌 해독을 위해서만이 아니라 언어생활을 내실화하기 위해서라도 한자와 한문교육은 필수적이라고 생각된다. 더욱이 한자를 국문으로 사용하고 있는 중국과 대만의 경우는 더욱 절실한 실정이다. 현재 대만의 중등교육은 國文(中文)과 英文이 함께 어문 영역에 병합되어 있고, 교육 정책은 점차 외국어교육을 중시하고 있기 때문에 語文 학습은 자연히 영어에 편중되어 文言文(古文)교육이 날로 어려워지고 있는 상황이며 상당히 제한적이고 감쇄하는 추세에 있다. 따라서 본고는 이러한 점에서 대만 文言文교육의 현황을 교육과정 표준 교육이념에 입각하여 현재 대만 중등교육 국문교과서를 중심으로 文言文교육의 특징과 문제점을 고찰하였다. 끝으로 현행 대만 중고등학교의 국문교과서 3종 목록을 부록으로 첨가하였다.
Abstract
It is essential to educate Chinese writings and characters in Chinese culture not only to interpret the old Chinese but to improve linguistic lives. It is even more serious for China and Taiwan because Chinese is their mother tongue. Currently in language education field in Taiwan, both Chinese and English are designated in the secondary education system. Since the country is attaching greater importance to foreign languages, it is placing more and more weight on English. Accordingly, old Chinese education tends to get ignored. Based on current Chinese educational situation in Taiwan, I have studied the features and problems in Chinese language textbooks. And I append the list of three Chinese language textbooks in Taiwanese secondary schools to the end of this article.
