『악학궤범』소재(所載) <학연화대처용무합설>의 ‘동연화관’ 복원 및 재현의 실제

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine the practical reenactment process of <Hakyeonhwadaecheoyongmuhapseol> 'Dongyeon Hwagwan' which was included in『Akhak Gwebeom』and to look into its cultural historic importance and value. In 2015 which marked 70th anniversary of the nation's liberation from Japanese colonial rule, Court Dance Chunaengjeon Preservation Association identified the 'Dongyeon Hwagwan' which adopted motif from Akhak Gwebeom(Illustrated Text on Traditional Music)』 and staged the reenacted performance of mask dance <Hakyeonhwadaecheoyongmuhapseol> performed by 17 persons. The 5-person mask dance of Cheoyongmu with characteristics of Confucianism and 2-person mask dance called 'Hakyeonhwadaemu' with characteristics of Taoism represented the traditional dance <Hakyeonhwadaecheoyongmuhapseol> which was a convergence of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Thaoism, and had been thrust into limelight as a subject of new research since the 10-person Buddhist mask dance was uncovered. Based on the work of this author, it explored cultural historic value and importance of <Hakyeonhwadaeche oyongmuhapseol> 'Dongyeon Hwagwan' included in『Akhak Gwebeom』. The results of this study were expected to provide basis for finding logical resolution for the process of religious and cultural convergence amid historic changes in traditional dance.
