본 연구의 목적은 한국의 대학 도자교육 현황과 도자문화 현상들을 통하여 도자 교육과정을 진단하는 것이다. 이러한 문제들에 접근하기 위해서는 현장에서의 실천 문제를 포함하여야 하기 때문에 Grounded Theory 연구방법론을 도입하였다. 즉 대학 현장을 알고 있고 또한 실천 문제를 추출할 수 있는 동료 교수들을 중심으로 하여 미래 지향적인 한국의 대학 도자 교육과정 모델을 예측하여 실질적인 방안을 모색하는 기초적인 탐색이다. 한국의 대학 도자교육에 대한 분석은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국의 대학 도자교육의 정체성은 뚜렷하지 않지만, 도자 문화의 전통은 한국의 장점으로서 도자교육의 정체성과 연결될 수 있다. 둘째, 한국의 대학 도자교육에서 우선적인 문제점은 교과-중심의 교육과정에서 나오는 획일화된 교육이다. 셋째, 현재 진행되는 도자교육은 교수 개인의 노력과 헌신에 크게 좌우된다. 현재의 이런 현상들은 도자교육의 질을 향상시키고 미래 지향적인 도자교육을 정립하는데 무리가 있다. 그러므로 통합적인 안목으로 한국 도자교육의 질적 향상과 한국의 특수한 상황을 고려한 교육과정의 재개념화와 차별화된 교육내용을 마련하기 위한 노력들이 시급하다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하고 한국의 대학 도자교육의 질적 향상을 위한 교육과정을 모색하는 연구가 다음의 과제이다.
Abstract
The goal of this research is to diagnose the curriculum of ceramic education at Korean universities through the phenomenon of conditions and culture in ceramic realm. To approach such issues it is need to incorporate practical issues on field. For this reason, this research adopted a research method devised in the tradition of Grounded Theory. In other words, this study focused on inputs from colleagues who are familiar with the university scene and who can extract practical questions and answers that can predict future-oriented curriculum model for ceramic education at Korea’s universities and to devise substantive plans. There are analysis of ceramic education at Korean universities. First, identity of ceramic education at Korean universities is not clear, but traditional ceramic culture is most important factor in ceramic education. Second, the most urgent problem is uniformed education with subject-focused curriculum. Third, result of ceramic education depend on professor's effort and sacrifice. These phenomenons of ceramic education at Korean universities is not evaluste quality of education.We need to reconceptualize curriculum and prepare differntiated educational contents. So next research will be solve the these problems and propose the curriculum of ceramic education at Korean universities based on more qualitative education.
