심미적 체험으로서 ‘시낭송 UCC’ 제작의 교육적 활용 방안

본 연구는 즐거운 체험으로서의 시 교육 내용과 방법에 대한 고민에서 출발하였다. 디지털 매체의 발달과 시 장르에 대해 달라진 인식은 시 교육과매체 결합의 필요성을 부각하고 있으며, ‘영상시’라고도 불리는 ‘시낭송 UCC’는 그 제작 과정이 어렵지 않고, 학습자의 삶과 밀접한 관계를 맺는 생태적 학습을 가능하게 한다는 점에서 교육적 효용성이 크다. UCC 제작의 교육적기능에 대해 어느 정도 합의된 현 시점에서는 가치 정립뿐만이 아니라, 통합교과형태로 실현할 수 있는 구체적인 내용 및 방법, 평가 기준에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 심미적 체험의 확대라는 관점에서 독립된 형태의 ‘시낭송UCC 공모전’을 개최하고, 기존의 학문적 성과를 바탕으로 출품된 작품을 분석·평가하여 통합교과형태로 적용할 수 있는 교육 내용과 평가 기준을 밝혀보고자 하였다. 연구 결과 도출된 교육 내용의 주안점과 평가 기준에서도UCC의 미적 가치를 객관적으로 판단할 수 있는 근거는 여전히 부족하다는한계점이 있지만, 영상 문법에 대한 이해, 교사 평가자(심사위원), 또래 감상자(학생 평가자), 우수한 UCC를 제작한 학생 대표와의 소통을 통해 통합교과형태로 수업에 적용할 수 있는 실제적인 교육 내용과 평가 기준을 구안했다는 데 의의를 두고자 한다. 연구자는 본 연구를 통해 생태학적 관점에서 바라본 학습자의 삶과 시 교육, 그리고 매체의 발달에 따라 달라진 시 감상법과 이를 반영한 시 교육방법의 실천을 더 이상 미룰 수 없다는 것을 재발견하였다. 다양한 관점에서구체적인 방안까지 제시하지는 못하였지만, 이후 지속적인 현장 연구를 통해타당성을 확보하고, 세부 내용을 수정·보완해 나간다면, 심미적 체험으로서시 교육 목표를 달성하는데 보다 효과적인 방안이 마련될 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study started from efforts to develop an education method for poetrythat would ensure a enjoyable experience. With the development of digitalmedia, the perception towards the genre of poetry has changed and is givingrise to the need for integrating poetry education and media. The productionof ‘poetry recitation UCC’, which is also referred to as ‘video poetry’, is notcomplicated and offers educational benefits in that it provides a more organiceducation that incorporates the learners own lives. At present, the educationalfunction of producing UCC has already been established and therefore, thediscussion needs to move towards developing the specific content, method andevaluation criteria so as to ensure an integrated curriculum. This study aims to identify the content and evaluation criteria that can beused in an integrated curriculum. This is done through the perspective ofexpanding the aesthetic experience, by holding a poetry recitation UCC contestthat is independent, and by analyzing and evaluating the works submitted tothe contest based on existing academic performances. The results are limitedin that the focus and evaluation criteria of the education do not have enoughrationale to objectively judge the aesthetic value of UCC. But it is stillmeaningful in that it suggests an understanding of video grammar and thecommunication between the teacher evaluator (judge), peer audience (studentevaluator) and the student who produced UCC. In doing so, it provides thebase material that can be applied to actual educational content and evaluation criteria. It has also been reveled through this study that the method of poetryappreciation that has undergone change due to the changes in learners’lifestyle, poetry education and media, and the educational methods that reflectsuch changes can no longer be ignored. Although specific measures fromvarious perspectives have not been presented, it is expected that more effectivemeasures to turn poetry education into an aesthetic experience can be developed through follow-up studies on site that would offer legitimacy to thestudy and complement the details that the current study lacks.
