박재희류 태평무의 춤사위분석을 통한 미적특성 연구

연구목적: 본 연구는 태평무에 대한 정확한 이해를 바탕으로 박재희류 태평무의 미적 특성을 정립하고, 이를 통해 보존과 전승의 올바른 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 연구 방법으로는 문헌 연구와 실증 연구를 병행하였다. 먼저 문헌 자료를 통해 태평무의 역사적 배경과 발전 과정을 조사한 후, 기초면담을 통해 태평무 보유자인 박재희 선생과의 면담, 영상 분석, 연구자의 실습 경험을 바탕으로 각 동작의 미학적 특성을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 분석 결과, 전통춤의 미적 특성 중 호흡, 감정, 춤사위의 용어는 춤의 표현력과 아름다움을 이해하는 데 필수적인 요소임을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 박재희류 태평무의 미적 특성을 호흡의 절제미, 감정의 여백미, 춤의 상징미로 나누어 도출하였다. 첫째, 호흡의 절제미를 보여주는 대표적인 춤사위로는 태평 사위, 마중 사위, 누리 사위, 다스림 사위가 있다. 둘째, 감정의 여백미를 보여주는 대표적인 춤사위로는 휘들램 사위, 마중 사위, 누리 사위, 다스림 사위가 있다. 셋째, 박재희가 정립하여 채록한 15가지 춤사위를 살펴보면, 대부분의 동작 명칭을 순우리말로 표현하였다. 이러한 상징적인 명칭은 박재희가 춤을 통해 전달하고자 했던 메시지와 감정을 더욱 명확하게 드러내며, 전통춤의 아름다움과 그 안에 담긴 상징적 가치를 현대적으로 재조명하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다. 결론: 박재희류 태평무의 미적 특성은 박재희류 태평무의 정체성 확립과 창조적 계승을 위한 학문적 모색이라는 점에서 큰 의의를 갖는다. 또한, 태평무의 본질과 원형을 충실히 보존하기 위해서는 올바른 해석과 함께 춤이 내포하고 있는 미적 특성을 정확히 이해하는 것이 필수적이다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to analyze the dance movements of Park Jae-hee’s Taepyeongmu to identify the aesthetic characteristics and to establish the aesthetic characteristics of Taepyeongmu based on the dance movement terms established by Park Jae-hee. Methods: he aesthetic characteristics of each movement were analyzed based on literature review, interviews with Park Jae-hee, a Taepyeongmu performer, video analysis, and the researcher’s practical experience. Results: The results of the analysis confirmed that the terms for breathing, emotion, and dance movements among the aesthetic characteristics of traditional dance are essential elements for understanding the expressiveness and beauty of dance. Based on this, the aesthetic characteristics of Park Jae-hee’s Taepyeongmu were divided into the beauty of restraint in breathing, the beauty of margin in emotion, and the symbolic beauty of dance. Conclusion: This study is very significant in that it is an academic study to establish the identity of Park Jae-hee’s Taepyeongmu and to creatively inherit it. In addition, in order to faithfully preserve the essence and original form of Taepyeongmu, an accurate understanding of the aesthetic characteristics contained in the dance and a correct interpretation are essential.
