본 연구는 OCIO 시장에서 기금의 OCIO 탐색 과정을 중심으로 기금과 운용사를 연결하는 방식을 모형화한다. 기금의 OCIO 탐색을 보조하는 OCIO 탐색 컨설턴트가 시장에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 기금은 제한된 정보 하에서 자신의 기대효용을 극대화하는 방향으로 OCIO에 대한 정보의 탐색 정도를 결정하지만, 제한된 정보로 인해 기금이 적합하지 않은 OCIO를 선택할 가능성도 있다. 본 연구의 모형에서는 이러한 경향이 OCIO에 대한 사전정보가 적은 신규 수요자에게 더 크게 나타난다는 점을 보인다. OCIO 서비스에 대한 신규 수요자의 경우, 탐색 비용이 높은 소규모 기금일 가능성이 크다는 점에서 이들이 높은 탐색 비용을 직면할 수도 있다. 추후 국내 OCIO 시장에 소규모 기금이 많이 진입하려고 할수록, OCIO 탐색 컨설턴트가 시장의 효율성을 개선하는 정도가 있을 수 있다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the impact of the OCIO search consultant. We model the OCIO market matching method and show that the OCIO search consultant can assist the funds' OCIO exploration. The fund determines the degree of exploration of the information about OCIO in the direction of maximizing its expected utility under limited information. But there is a risk in choosing an unsuitable OCIO due to limited information. In our model, this tendency is larger for the new consumers of the OCIO service, which is a fund with low prior information on OCIO. In the case of new consumers for OCIO services, it is more likely that they are highly expensive to explore. Therefore, the more small funds will enter the domestic OCIO market, the greater the effect of improving the market efficiency for the OCIO search consultant.
