한국기업의 대형여객기 국제공동개발 제휴 타당성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 유럽 연합 컨소시엄 업체인 에어버스의 A350 대형여객기 공동개발 사업에 대한 국내기업의 제휴 타당성 여부를 분석하였다. 대규모 투자비용이 소요되는 해당 사업에 대해 다양한 시나리오 분석기법을 통해 B/C분석을 시도한 결과 시나리오 Ⅳ(보수적 추정)를 제외한 모든 대안에서 제휴 타당성이 입증되었다. 특히 시나리오 ∏(중립적 추정)는 사회적 할인율 5.5∼7.5% 범위에서 BCR=1.14∼1.09를 나타내어 국제공동개발 사업 참여의 타당성이 있음이 입증되었다.항공기산업이 가진 공공성 측면에서 보았을 때 해당사업에 대한 정부 지원의 필요성이 제기되며, 특히 대규모 투자비가 소요되는 대형 국제공동 개발 사업에 대한 정부의 지원 및 육성은 항공기산업의 발전뿐만 아니라, 장기적으로는 관련 산업의 전반적인 경쟁력 제고와 함께 기업의 핵심역량 구축의 기반이 될 수 있다. 특히 현재 세계 대형 여객기 시장을 과점하고 있는 에어버스와의 전략적 제휴는 기술역량, 경험 등의 측면에서 국내 기업이 그 능력을 입증 받았다는 점에서 매우 중요한 의의를 갖는다고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
This study analysed cost-benefit of participating in A350 large commercial aircraft development program of Korean aerospace enterprise. The result of analyses, partnership with Airbus program recorded 1.14∼1.09 of B/C ratio. This means that this program has reasonable validity as large scale R&D project.Especially, this study emphasis that government subsidy of large scale aircraft R&D program is very useful for absorbing new capability of competitive advantage.
