고령층 경제교육을 위한 프로젝트기반학습 프로그램 개발 사례

초록

이 연구는 급격한 고령화와 심각한 고령 빈곤의 사회경제적 여건 속에서 고령층 대상의 경제교육이 긴요하고 프로젝트기반학습 방법을 적용하기에 적합한 주제와 내용으로 사례 교육프로그램을 개발하고자 하였다. 생애주기의 단계별로 프로젝트기반 경제교육 주제를 도출한 선행연구를 기초로 하여 고령층 입장에서 우선순위가 높은 교육주제들을 재구성하여 3개의 사례 프로젝트 주제를 도출하고 그 중에서 “100세 시대 소복소복 행복프로젝트” 프로그램을 개발하였다. 우선 선정한 주제와 내용을 토대로 고령층 대상 경제교육 목표를 달성하기 위한 교육프로그램 프로토타입을 작성하였다. 이들 프로토타입에 대하여 전문가 자문을 통한 타당화작업을 시행하였다. 전문가 타당화 결과를 반영하여 파일럿테스트로서 시범교육을 운영하였다. 시범교육에 대한 학습자 만족도와 개선 의견을 반영하여 프로그램을 완성하였다. 이 연구는 고령층이 필요로 하는 경제교육 프로그램을 교육효과 제고가 가능한 프로젝트기반학습 방법을 적용하여 개발하는데 초점을 맞추었다. 이 사례 프로그램들이 여러 경제교육 및 평생교육 기관의 교육과정에 활용되기 바란다. 또한 고령층의 다양한 상황에 대한 맞춤형 은퇴 대비 프로그램을 포함하여 사회경제적 여건변화에 대응한 교육프로그램의 개발에 참고자료가 되기를 기대한다.

Abstract

Under the socio-economic conditions of rapid aging, this study aimed to develop case study education programs with topics and contents suitable for applying the project-based learning method, as economic education for older adults is urgently needed. Based on previous research that derived project-based economic education topics for each stage of the life cycle, we reorganized education topics that were a high priority for the elderly and derived three case project topics, among which we developed the “Happiness Project Combining Income and Welfare in the Homo Hundred Era” program. We meticulously developed prototype educational programs to achieve economic education objectives for older adults. These prototypes underwent rigorous validation through expert consultation, ensuring their quality and effectiveness. Subsequently, we conducted a pilot program as a test, incorporating the learners’ satisfaction and improvement opinions to refine and finalize the case program. This study is a significant step towards developing an economic education program for older adults, with a strong emphasis on applying project-based learning methods to enhance educational effectiveness. We envision that this case program will enrich the curriculum of various economic education and continuing education institutions and inspire the active development of new educational programs in response to changing socioeconomic conditions, including customized programs for different economic conditions of older adults.
