통계작성기관에서는 마이크로자료를 제공할 경우 응답자의 개인정보가 노출되지 않도록 각별한 노력을 기울이고 있으며, 이에 대한 방법 중 하나로 통계적 비밀보호방법을 활용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 마이크로자료의 제공시 개인의 비밀을 보호하는 다양한 형태의 비밀보호방법을 소개하고, 노출과 개인식별에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 개인식별의 측도로 사용되는 유일성(uniqueness)의 개념을 설명하고, 노출의 위험을 통계적 확률로 정리하여 계산함으로써 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 2005 인구주택총조사 일부 지역의 표본조사 결과자료에 대해 그룹화(grouping) 방법을 적용하여 마이크로 자료파일을 직접 작성해 보고, 이에 대한 내용들도 살펴보았다.
Abstract
A variety of methods have been used to protect the identity of the persons on a microdata file in government statistical agencies. In this study, we introduce the techniques for masking microdata, disclosure risk, identification and uniqueness. Also, we propose the method of masking for 2005 census microdata.
