한국인 남녀 기대여명 차이에관한 연구

초록

본 연구는 한국인의 출생 시 기대여명의 남녀 차이를 분석한 것이다. Pollard's method를 이용해 기대여명의 성 차이를 1983년부터 2001년까지 연도별, 연령대별, 사인별로 분석했다. 1983년부터 2001년까지 출생 시 남녀 기대여명 차이(SDLE)는 8.26년에서 7.18년으로 감소하는 추세를 보였다. 성 차이에 가장 크게 기여한 연령대는 1983년에는 55∼64세였으나 2001년에는 65∼74세가 되었다. 9대 항목 사인에서는 1983년 1위였던 순환기계 질환 자리를 2001년에는 신생물이 대신했다. 12개 특정사인에서는 폐암의 기여가 가장 크게 증가하여 2001년에는 신생물 중 1위가 되었으며, 가장 크게 감소한 질환은 고혈압성 질환이다. 대부분의 질환의 SDLE에 대한 기여가 줄어들고 있으므로 향후 우리나라의 SDLE는 줄어들 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 일부 악성신생물과 호흡기계 질환, 내분비계 질환에 의한 고령층의 SDLE에 대한 기여도가 크게 증가하는 추세이므로 당분간 고령층에서의 기여는 증가할 것이라 추측할 수 있다

Abstract

The major purpose of this study is to analyze the sex differential in life expectancy at birth in Korea from 1983 to 2001, to determine which ages and causes of death mostly influenced its trend. Pollard's Method was used to explain which ages and which causes of death give the highest contribution to the sex differential. A slight reduction of sex differential has been observed since 1983. The olds and very olds became the most relevant contributors to the differential. Circulatory system diseases were the principle contributing causes of death in 1983 and neoplasms replaced them afterwards. Among specific causes, lung cancer contribution has remarkably increased to become the most contributing one of neoplasms. Contribution of hypertensive diseases has largely decreased to explain only a small amount of gender differential in life expectancy in 2001.
