장서각 소장 영조 賡進帖의 서지적 연구

Abstract

This study is a bibliographical analysis of the status and characteristics of the Yeongjo (英祖) Gaengjincheop (賡載帖, collected poems by subjects in response to King Yeongjo’s poems) held in Jangseogak Archives, and is the result of dataizing the information elements that appear in the literature. The size of the Yeongjo Gaengjincheop kept in Jangseogak Archives is confirmed to be about 139 pieces in 319 cases, containing 6,624 poems. It was compiled over a period of 25 years, from 1751 to 1776. The largest number of Gaengjin was conducted in 1774 (Yeongjo’s 50th year) with 93 times of submitting responsive poems. More than 90% of the poems were in manuscript, and only 10% were in movable type and woodblock print. In terms of style, 7 words in 2 phrases is the most common, and the rhymes of 億 (eok), 康 (gang), 心 (sim) are the most commonly used. The number of people who participated in composing a poem ranged from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 149, with an average of about 20 people participating each time. In terms of government offices, the Seungjeongwon participated most actively. Among officials and individuals, Busajik (副司直) of the Five Guards (五衛) and Kim Sang-chul participated the most. Among families, the Jeonju Yi clan, the royal family, was the most active, followed by the Pungsan Hong clan and the Daegu Seo clan. In all, 936 people from 162 families composed poems 319 times during the 25th year of King Yeongjo, and 6,624 poems were published in 139 books.
