데이터 세분화(data disaggregation)는 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)의 ‘어느 누구도 뒤처지지 않게 한다(no one left behind)’는 포용성 원칙 실현을 위한 핵심적인 전략인 동시에 글로벌 지표 프레임워크를 관통하고 있는 핵심 주제다. 데이터를 세분화하기 위해서는 범주가 표준화된 데이터들이 수집되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 정부 승인 조사통계에 포함된 인구사회학적 변수들 중 지금까지 큰 주목을 받지 못하였던 이주상태 항목의 표준화 실태를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 조사에서 이주상태 질문의 포함 여부, 질문 방법과 응답범주 제시 방식, 결과표 제시 방식 등을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 많은 조사에서 이주상태에 대한 질문이 포함되지 않았고 질문 방법이나 응답범주 제시 방식, 결과 보고 방식도 표준화가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 이주상태 항목의 표준화 방안과 앞으로의 연구 방향을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Item standardization is indispensible for data disaggregation, which is used for evaluating the “Sustainable Development Goals” achievement. In this study, we examined current status of item standardization of survey questions on immigrant status among certified surveys in Republic of Korea. In doing this, we analyzed the number of surveys including questions for migrant status, wording of the questions and response items, and the way to present the outcome tables. The results show that only few research has questions for migration status. In addition, the wording of question, response option, outcome table are not standardized well. Some suggestions for item standardization is discussed.
