미술영재들 중에는 그림 주제나 기법에 집착하는 특징이 있는데 이 같은 행동이 자폐로 오해를 받는 경우가 있다. 이에 미술영재가 선호하는 그림 주제와 재료, 기법에 대한 연구를 통해 그들의 성향을 이해할 필요가 있다. 미술영재가 선호하는 설문에 대한 연구 결과 첫째, 그림 주제나 기법에 집착하는 것이 자폐가 아니라 한 주제를 깊이 탐구하는 과정임을 이해할 수 있었다. 둘째, 드로잉 재료는 연필을 선호하였으며, 모둠 작업 활동보다 개별 작업 활동을 선호하였다. 셋째, 그림 채색은 주제에 따라서 스스로 선택하는 것을 선호하였다. 즉 미술영재들이 그림 주제나 재료 등에 집착하는 것은 관심있는 분야를 심도있게 탐구하는 과정에서 나타난 현상으로 볼 수 있다. 연구 내용을 토대로 미술영재 교육기관에서 그들이 선호하는 그림 주제와 기법, 재료 등을 참고하여 교육에 활용하기를 바란다.
Abstract
Some gifted artists exhibit a tendency to obsess over painting themes or techniques, which can sometimes be mistaken for autism. Therefore, it is necessary to understand their tendencies by studying their preferred painting themes, materials, and techniques. An examination of preferences conducted by survey suggests the following findings: First, fixation on a painting theme or technique is not a sign of autism but rather a process of deeply exploring a single subject. Second, pencils were preferred as drawing materials, and individual work was preferred over group work. Third, coloring was chosen independently based on the theme. In other words, gifted artists' obsession with painting themes and materials can be seen as a phenomenon that emerges as they delve deeply into their areas of interest. Based on these findings, it is hoped that art education institutions will utilize these preferences in their educational programs.
