Abstract
Effects of Integrated Art therapy Program on College students' Emotions Kim, Jeung-Hyang (Pusan National University) In this Study, quantitative verification of the effects of the Integrated arts therapy program composed and implemented on auniversity student group on the reduction of anxiety and depression and ability for emotional expression of university students for the purpose of examining the effects of motion-orientedexpressive arts therapyprogram on the anxiety, depression and self-expression of university students. The following results were obtained by executing ANCOVA for the comparison of the follow-up test scores between the groups with the scores of the preliminary test scores as the co variate. Firstly, the experimental group that participated in the motion-oriented expressive arts therapyprogram displayed variations in the measurement scores in comparison to the comparative group and control group with a statistically significant difference, thereby verifying that the program has an affirmative effect. In terms of the reduction of depression andanxiety, and increase in self-expression, which are the quantitative research results, the Integrated arts therapydisplayed the highest level of affirmative changes in comparison to the dance sports group and control group. For the dance sports group, the affirmative changes in the levels of anxiety, depression and self-expression were found to be higher than the control group, although lower than those of the Integrated arts therapy group. Through these results, it is deemed that Integrated arts therapy program has affirmative effects on the anxiety, depression and self-expression of university students, and could be helpful not only in the domain of physical and emotional stability but also in the domain of their social relationship.
