본 연구의 목적은 브루너 내러티브 페다고지가 초등 통합교과 교육과정에 주는 시사 점을 탐구하는데 있다. 초등학교 통합교과 교육과정은 제4차 교육과정부터 시작되었을 만큼 오랜 역사를 가진다. 그런데 최근 교육과정의 흐름을 살펴보면 주제 중심 통합이라 는 통합교과 교육과정 설계 방식은 매우 타당한 것으로 보인다. 본 연구에서는 이를 내 러티브 페다고지로서 설명하려 하였다. 내러티브 페다고지는 지식을 내러티브로서 학습 자의 마음에 의미 있게 구성하며, 이는 결국 통합교과 교육과정이 지향하는 바이기 때문 이다. 지식과 경험은 분절의 대상이 아니라 통합의 대상이며, 내러티브로서 학습자의 마 음에 다가설 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the implications of Bruner’s narrative pedagogy on the elementary school integrated subject curriculum. The elementary school integrated subject curriculum has a long history as it started from the 4th revisional Korean national curriculum. However, looking at the current curriculum trends, the curriculum design method of subject-centered integration in elementary school integrated seems to be very reasonable. This study tried to explain this as a narrative pedagogy. Narrative pedagogy constructs knowledge meaningfully in the mind of the learner as a narrative, which is ultimately what the integrated subject curriculum pursues. Knowledge and experience are not objects of segmentation, but objects of integration, and can reach the learner's mind as a narrative.
