두 무용수의 전환의 삶에 대한 내러티브 탐구

초록

본 연구는 무용수에서 유관분야 활동가로 진로를 전환한 무용수들의 사례를 내러티브 적 관점에서 논의하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 무용 전공자의 진로 결정 및 진로 전환 경 험과 이들의 ‘전환의 여정 이야기’ 간의 관련성을 논의하고자 했다. 이를 위해 무용수에 서 유관분야 활동가로 진로를 전환한 무용전공자 2명의 삶의 경험을 내러티브 탐구를 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 전환의 상황 요인에서는 연구 참여자들의 신체적 한계 (부상과 체형관리)와 경제적 어려움이 나타났고, 둘째, 자기자신 요인에서는 자기 자신 에 대한 믿음, 도전, 적극성, 개방적 사고방식이 연구 참여자들에게 공통적으로 나타났 다. 셋째, 지원 요인은 동료의 지지와 다양한 경험 체득이 주요 요소인 것으로 나타났 다. 넷째, 전환 전략 요인은 연구 참여자들의 지속적인 마인드 컨트롤, 유연한 대처와 협력, 현장 경험과 이론에 대한 균형적 학습을 제시할 수 있는데, 이러한 요인들이 진로 전환에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 요컨대, 본 연구결과는 무용전공자에 대한 이해를 확 장할 수 있는 계기를 제공한다. 또한 무용 전공자 선호 기반의 교육환경 및 교육시스템 을 마련하는 데 기여한다.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between career decision and career transfer experiences of dance majors and their journey of job transition. For this purpose, it explores the life experiences of two dance majors who transferred their careers from dancers to their related fields. More specifically, this study finds out the influence on participants’ career decisions and transfer through situation, self, support, and Strategies factors by Schlossberg. The results are as follows. First, there are physical limitations and economic difficulties in Situation. Second, Participants have commonly faith in themselves, challenge, and open mind in Self. Third, there are strong support from colleagues and various experiences in Support. Lastly, this study finds that continuous mind control, flexible coping and cooperation, and the balanced learning between field experiences and theory of participants contribute to career transfers in Strategies.
