다산 정약용의 도덕교육론 -도덕교육 내용을 중심으로-

Abstract

Confucianism, which focuses on moral and ethical issues, places great importance on education. Therefore, education in the Confucianism is an effort and process to harmonize moral knowledge with moral practice. The study of Confucian classics, which is the foundation of Dasan's philosophy, shows the face of the intellectual as one who wants to develop the reality with the agony of the times, emphasizes the human being as the moral subject. According to the Dasan's theory, if the realization of humanity, that is, the matter of morality is understood as the essence of human practice, correct learning is most important for the practice of moral goodness. The purpose of learning is to ultimately become a moral wise man. The core content of Dasan's theory of ethics can be called filial piety and brotherly love. Therefore, the core of moral education is also filial piety and brotherly love. What is the filial piety and brotherly love? What is Ren(perfect virtue) in terms of 'achieving virtue with filial piety and brotherly love'? What is Shu(benevolence) in terms of 'pursuing Ren'? Knowing the answers to these questions and practicing them is the core of moral education. The moral education theory of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong emphasizes aspects of knowing, judging, and practicing values in the actual moral situation of life implemented by the moral subject. Therefore, introducing the moral education theory of Dasan to academia is a task that emphasizes the meaning of the practice-oriented educational view and reflects on education of the present age. In addition, it is a part of the expectation that it will expand the periphery of moral education curriculum, enrich the contents of moral education, and contribute to the development of competence-oriented moral education curriculum and supplement of related materials based on the change and development of the times.
