신학과 심리학 통합의 근거로서의 일반은총에 대한 고찰

본 연구의 목적은 신학과 심리학 통합의 근거로 제시됐던 일반계시의 약점을 극복하기 위하여 일반은총 교리를 통합의 근거로 제시하는 데 있다. 통합론자들은 모든 진리는 하나님의 진리라는 명제를 근간으로 일반계시 영역인심리학 연구가 하나님의 진리와 통일성을 이룬다는 것을 통합의 근거로 삼아왔다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 주장은 일반계시의 원래 목적이 창조된 세계를통하여 모든 사람에게 하나님의 존재를 드러내고 후에 하나님을 몰랐다고 핑계할 수 없게 하기 위한 것이기 때문에 그 근거가 정당하지 못함을 논증하였다. 또한, 일반계시에 다른 학문의 발견을 통합하려는 시도는 일반계시의 해석학적 분석으로 그 부당함이 드러남을 지적하였다. 일반은총은 모든 인류에게 공통으로 베푸시는 하나님의 호의라고 간단히 정의될 수 있으며 성경적인여러 증거를 가진다. 일반은총은 하나님께서 인간의 타락에도 불구하고 성령을 통하여 인간들 안에 이성과 이해력을 보편적 선물로 주심으로 말미암아학문을 통하여 진리를 탐구할 수 있는 은총을 주심을 말한다. 신학도 일반은총의 도움으로 발전되며 또한 심리학적 연구를 통해 유익을 얻을 수 있다고하는 일반은총에 대한 Calvin, Bavinck, Kuyper의 진술을 살펴봄으로써 일반은총이 신학과 심리학 통합의 근거로 적합함을 논증하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present the doctrine of common grace as a ground of the integration of Theology and Psychology in order to overcome the weakness of general revelation. Historically, several scholars have presented general revelation as a foundation for integration on the basis of the old saying, “truth is God’s truth.” The claim that psychological research, which is a realm of general revelation, can achieve unity with God’s truth was disputed by arguing that the purpose of general revelation is to reveal the existence of God through the created world and to prevent people from excusing that they did not know God. In addition, the attempt to include the findings of other sciences into general revelation was negated by the analysis of hermeneutics for general revelation. God gives common grace to human beings by bestowing them with reason and understanding despite of the Fall through the Holy Spirit. Also, this paper presented the fitness of common grace as a foundation for the integration of Theology and Psychology by examining the statements of Calvin, Bavinck, and Kuyper who argued that Theology develops by the help of common grace and it can gain benefit through the psychological research.
