본 논문은, 동성애가 한 종류의 사랑이라는 사실을 부인하지는 않는다. 오히려, 일종의 사랑이기는 하지만 ‘생명 없는 사랑’이며 ‘뒤집어진 사랑’이고 또한, ‘혼돈 속의 사랑’임을 확인한다. 우선, 동성애는 본질적으로 ‘생명’과 연결되어 있지 않다(창 1:27-28). 그것은 동성애가 언제나 생명을 낳는 이성애를 다만 ‘흉내’내는 수준에 그치는 결정적인 한계이다. 또한 동성애는 하나님의 창조세계의 질서와 그 통치가 무너지고 파괴된 극단적인 표현인 우상숭배의 전형적이고 대표적인 증상으로 언급된다(롬 1:23-28). 살인보다는 경미한 죄일 수 있지만, 동성애는 그래서 상징적으로 볼 때, ‘반(反) 하 나님 나라’적인 ‘뒤집어진 사랑’을 대표한다. 이런 점에서, ‘남색 하는 것’(고 전 6:9; 딤전 1:10)이나, ‘다른 종류의 육체를 찾는’(유 7) 성적 혼합주의는 구지 사랑이라고 부르더라도 분명코 ‘혼돈 속의 사랑’이다. 그래서 동성애를 일종의 사랑이라고 할 수는 있더라도, 그것을 ‘정상’으로 규정하는 것은 성경적으로나 보편적 윤리, 그리고 현실적인 측면에서도 억지스럽다. 또한, 구약의 율법은 신약에 와서 폐하여 진 것이 아니라 온전케 된 것이며(마 5:17), 신약 성경이 동성애를 자주 언급하지 않는다는 것으로 그 심각성이 적다고 할 수도 없다. 또한, 본 논문은 마태복음 8:5-13에 대 한 퀴어비평이 보여주는 해석학적인 오류와 미숙한 점들을 지적하면서, 동 시에 교회가 동성애자들을 대함에 있어서, ‘죄인들의 죄 없는 친구’(마 9:9-13)가 되신 예수님의 균형 잡힌 모범을 따를 것을 권면하고 있다.
Abstract
This article does not deny that the homosexuality can be a sort of love. Nevertheless, it is a kind of love that is ``devoid of life`` in principle, ``a perverted love`` and indeed ``a love in chaos``. Above all, the homosexuality is barren in nature(Gen 1:27-28), only copying the heterosexuality for its power to produce the life. Further, the homosexuality is described as the prime sign of the idolatry(Rom 1:23-28). Symbolically, it represents the upside-down scheme in God``s creation and his kingdom. In this regard, seeking the different kinds of bodies for sexual intercourse(1 Cor 6:9; 1 Tim 1:10; Jude 7) can be called a ``love yet in chaos.`` Therefore, to insist that the homosexuality is a kind of love is one thing, but to claim for its normality is totally different matter. In addition, the relative silence of the New Testament on the sinfulness of the homosexuality can not be used for its acquittal. Also, this article includes a critical review of a queer-critical reading of Matt 8:5-13, pointing out its several critical hermeneutical mistakes. Lastly, this article presents Jesus as "the sinless friend of the sinners"(Matt 9:9-13) for the church to chart the course in her dealing with the homosexuality.
