When a nation or country comes into contact with another people or country, it is bound to influence and receive each other not only in terms of culture but also in terms of language. Therefore, the borrowing of language is an inevitable product of interaction. The Chinese language of the Yuan Dynasty, which is classified as modern Chinese, belongs to a different language, typologically, but through large-scale contact, it has undergone great changes in terms of voice, vocabulary, and grammar. Therefore, compared with the pre-Yuan Dynasty Chinese language, the language and grammatical elements of the northern ethnic groups represented by Mongolian are reflected in many ways. In particular, this feature is prominent in the Yuan opera, which is recognized as an important material for the study of Chinese in the Yuan Dynasty. The main audience of the Yuan opera was the common people at that time, and the dialogue faithfully reflect spoken language used in everyday life, so that contact with the Mongolian language and traces of it can be seen clearly in terms of grammar as well as vocabulary.
