정전과 동원-1960~70년 역사물을 중심으로

Abstract

The Authority of a canon once established seems to be not eternal but vary in trends of society’s cultural needs and hegemony. This thesis is to investigate the historical narratives of Korean 1960~70s’ in that canon critical point, to make sure some cultural and social logics of hegemony operating in the process of writing, publishing and consumption of historical literature. Three currencies are found. 1st, biographies of great men in that times are saturated with national enlightment discourse of which the jingoistic ‘Lee, Sun-Shin(李舜臣)’ written by ‘Lee, Kwang-Su(李光洙)’ is the typical case. 2nd, tendencies of aesthetic articulation of history represented in ‘Kim, Dong-Ri(金東里)’s historical writings about Shilla dynasty which regards historical facts as the archive of traditional aesthetic senses. 3rd, tendencies of moralization of history adopted in populist historical narratives such as ‘Janggilsan(張吉山)’ written by ‘Hwang, Seok-Young(黃晳英)’ which imposed on itself too extremely moral weight to achieve the authentic representation of historical entities results in exaggeration of facts and reduction of reality. Historical narratives of korean 1960~70s’ seems to be existed as a field of hegemony struggle between national regime and civil movement.
