아동의 실행기능 결함 및 외·내현적 자기애가 또래관계에 미치는 영향

초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between children's executive function impairments, covert/overt narcissism and their peer relationships. The participants consisted of 144 boys and 140 girls in the 5th and 6th grades attending elementary schools located in Cheonan. The data collected were analyzed using the SPSS Window version 19.0, and t-test analyses, Pearson's zero-order correlation analyses, ANOVA, and multiple regression analyses were conducted. The results were as follows: 1) school-aged boys' executive function impairments were higher than girls'; 2) school-aged children's covert narcissism was found to be positively associated with their peer relationships 3) and overt narcissism and executive function impairments were found to be negatively associated with their peer relationships; 4) school-aged children's executive function impairments were found to be negatively associated with covert narcissism and to be positively associated with overt narcissism; and 5) when the three variables (covert/overt narcissism and executive function impairments) were entered in the regression model, overt narcissism was the best predictor for school-aged children's peer relationships while executive function impairments did not significantly contribute to the variances of child peer relationships.

Abstract
